Interview with Adnan Arslan
Which training did you choose at the NORRES Group? And why did you apply to NORRES?
I have decided to train as an industrial clerk at the NORRES Group. The reason for my application at NORRES is the wide range of different training positions which form a good basis for my professional life. The company is involved in international trade and pays attention to sustainability in its products and offices.
How did you experience the application phase?
At the beginning of the application phase, I was both excited and curious. The excitement diminished in the course of time. What remained was curiosity, because the company gave me the impression, that I was being challenged and supported to an ideal degree at the same time. This positive change can be attributed to the personnel office, as they involved me warmly at NORRES.
How were the first days and weeks in the company?
The first days and weeks were very varied and interesting, because in the beginning I was in production, the workshop and the incoming and outgoing goods department. This gave me the opportunity to get to know the multifaceted departments of the NORRES company and at the same time to gain an insight into the different fields of work and to follow the production steps in the company in detail.
Are you already finding your way around the NORRES premises and company building?
After almost two months of training at NORRES, I can say that I find my way around the site very well.
Which tasks were you allowed to take on in the first weeks?
The first tasks I was allowed to take on with the help of my colleagues from the purchasing team were, for example, to place shipping orders, process blanket orders and purchase requisitions and save concluded contract documents on the intranet.
Have there ever been tasks or situations that were particularly demanding?
There have not yet been any particularly challenging tasks or situations. But there have been moments when I was overwhelmed and didn't know what to do. However, in these moments I was able to ask my colleagues for help, who then took the time to help me with my request.
What did you particularly enjoy?
I enjoy the workplace very much, because I can apply the knowledge I have learned, whether from the company or from vocational school, in the company.
