Social responsibility
NORRES Schlauchtechnik has a long history of responsible behaviour towards the society we live in. We frequently participate in activities that benefit charitable organisations. We are extremely keen to support projects that help the socially disadvantaged, especially when they involve children. We also make an active contribution towards environmental protection.
NORRES Schlauchtechnik makes regular donations to “Noah's Ark”, a charity that describes itself as “a children’s hospice in the region and for the region”. The Ark’s concept, which is the only one of its kind anywhere in Germany, defines two main functions: to offer a haven for incurably ill children and to act as a short-term care centre for youngsters with severe disabilities. The aim is to assist the families concerned by providing professional care and respite for children and teenagers in the Noah's Ark centre. NORRES traditionally makes a donation to this deserving cause at Christmas.
At NORRES, all people are equal. All our staff benefit from the same opportunities. Their ethnic origin, religion, social background, age, sex or disabilities are considered to be irrelevant. NORRES maintains close links with a centre for handicapped people. Disabled staff carry out their work directly on the NORRES site and are therefore fully integrated in the life of the company.
The sustainable use of natural resources is firmly entrenched in NORRRES Schlauchtechnik's daily work processes. The move to our new “Am Stadthafen” facility coincided with extensive investments in eco-friendly production and HVAC technologies. Efficient insulation, double glazing, centrally controlled air conditioning with water chillers and production utilising heat recovery mean optimal protection for the environment. Since taking possession of the new and completely refurbished plant at the port of Gelsenkirchen in 2009, NORRES has succeeded in reducing the consumption of water, electricity and heating fuel dramatically – despite an almost fourfold increase in floor space.

Essential hose properties for the agricultural sector
Hose properties such as flexibility, microbe -, UV- and ozone-resistance are crucial for use within agriculture and at the same time determine the service life of the hose. During the sowing and harvesting periods in spring and autumn, a temperature drop can occur, so the property of the cold flexibility of a hose is very important. At the same time, the user has to rely on the hose operating at high temperatures during summer. The range of high-quality NORRES hoses includes high-performance hose solutions made of Pre-PUR® and flexible PVC, whose properties are specially adapted for use in agriculture.
Flexible Quality – Soft-PVC Hoses
The portfolio of soft PVC hoses with particular suitability for the agriculture sector includes the NORPLAST® PVC 379 GREEN SUPERELASTIC and the NORPLAST® PVC 389 SUPERELASTIC / SUPERELASTIC PLUS. Both types of hoses are very resistant to alkalis, acids and chemicals - making them ideal for distributing insecticides and fertilizers. The NORPLAST® PVC 389 SUPERELASTIC has a life-prolonging abrasion protection thanks to an external abrasion protection via external helix, which saves floor space, prolongs service life makes it easy to use. Both hose types are made of high-quality and cold-flexible soft PVC and are smooth inside. In addition to fertilizer and insecticide distribution, these hoses are also ideal for irrigation or transportation purposes. The embedded in the wall plastic spiral allows an outstanding lifetime and has proven itself in demanding applications.
High mechanical stability – Pre-PUR®
An alternative to soft PVC is the patented premium polyurethane (Pre-PUR®) used by NORRES. Thus, for example, the AIRDUC® PUR 351 FOOD and the AIRDUC® PUR 355 FOOD have increased abrasion resistance and high mechanical stability. Properties that ensure that the service life of a hose increases significantly. Due to the premium polyurethane Pre-PUR®, the hoses do have a very good low temperature flexibility. Hose types, such as the AIRDUC® PUR 355 FOOD and AIRDUC® PUR 351 FOOD have an outstanding interior smoothness and are thus optimized for flow.. The advantage for agricultural machinery: The transported goods are transported gently. The AIRDUC® PUR 355 AS is recommended for the pneumatic transport of cereals or for the promotion of seeds and fertilizers, since here too the abrasion resistance and thus a long service life play an important role. The AIRDUC® PUR 355 AS is also suitable for the pneumatic transport of combustible dusts and bulk solids in accordance with TRGS 727 and ATEX 2014/34 / EU.
NORRES hoses made of Pre-PUR® and flexible PVC with particular suitability for the agricultural sector offer, due to their properties, a long and reliable service life and safety during operation. They are especially suitable for a high throughput of abrasive substances and even at high flow speeds.
