Social responsibility
NORRES Schlauchtechnik has a long history of responsible behaviour towards the society we live in. We frequently participate in activities that benefit charitable organisations. We are extremely keen to support projects that help the socially disadvantaged, especially when they involve children. We also make an active contribution towards environmental protection.
NORRES Schlauchtechnik makes regular donations to “Noah's Ark”, a charity that describes itself as “a children’s hospice in the region and for the region”. The Ark’s concept, which is the only one of its kind anywhere in Germany, defines two main functions: to offer a haven for incurably ill children and to act as a short-term care centre for youngsters with severe disabilities. The aim is to assist the families concerned by providing professional care and respite for children and teenagers in the Noah's Ark centre. NORRES traditionally makes a donation to this deserving cause at Christmas.
At NORRES, all people are equal. All our staff benefit from the same opportunities. Their ethnic origin, religion, social background, age, sex or disabilities are considered to be irrelevant. NORRES maintains close links with a centre for handicapped people. Disabled staff carry out their work directly on the NORRES site and are therefore fully integrated in the life of the company.
The sustainable use of natural resources is firmly entrenched in NORRRES Schlauchtechnik's daily work processes. The move to our new “Am Stadthafen” facility coincided with extensive investments in eco-friendly production and HVAC technologies. Efficient insulation, double glazing, centrally controlled air conditioning with water chillers and production utilising heat recovery mean optimal protection for the environment. Since taking possession of the new and completely refurbished plant at the port of Gelsenkirchen in 2009, NORRES has succeeded in reducing the consumption of water, electricity and heating fuel dramatically – despite an almost fourfold increase in floor space.

High-powered use for dust and fume extraction
Choosing the right hose is vitally important when it comes to dust and fume extraction, and a decisive factor for achieving a long service life and optimum performance. Industrial hoses used for dust and fume extraction are exposed to high loads. They are primarily employed to extract and transport gaseous materials or fine dusts. Temperature resistance, flexibility, flame retardancy and impermeability are the most important hose properties for applications in this industry.
Hose solutions for extreme conditions
A long service life and significantly extended replacement intervals for heavy-duty suction and blast hoses present daunting challenges for manufacturers serving the dust and fume extraction sector, for example, where temperature resistance is a top priority. When it comes to suction and blast hoses for this industry, the NORRES Group relies on proven quality and specialises in efficient solutions leading to sustainable cost reductions.
The PROTAPE® PUR 301 AS is a highly flexible and super-lightweight hose. It is flame retardant according to UL94-HB and DIN 4102-B1. The PROTAPE® PUR 301 AS additionally has a permanently antistatic wall with an electrical and surface resistance of <10⁹ Ω in accordance with ISO 8031. TRGS 727 and ATEX 2014/34/EU (1999/92/EC) certification: for the aspiration of combustible dust (Zone 22 indoor), for conveying non-flammable liquids for use in Zones 1 & 2 (gases). The PROTAPE® PUR 330 AS is particularly suitable for use on extraction units as well as dedusting and filter systems or for oil mist and galvanic extraction owing to a combination of high flexibility and high abrasion resistance and flame retardancy. The hose wall is permanently antistatic, with an electrical and surface resistance of <10⁹ Ω in accordance with ISO 8031. The hose additionally has TRGS 727 and ATEX 2014/34/EU certification.* The AIRDUC® PUR 350 AS BLACK is the optimal hose solution for pneumatic transport of flammable bulk materials, with a temperature range from -40°C to +90°C (short time to +125°C) as well as TRGS 727 and ATEX 2014/34/EU certification.* On extraction arms or for welding fume extraction, properties such as high flexibility, a super-lightweight design, flame retardancy and very good heat resistance, as offered by the PROTAPE® PVC 371 HT ventilation hose, are indispensable. The CLAMP 210 BRIDGE CLAMP complements these products perfectly. It is ideal for attaching lightweight hoses. Thanks to its special bridge geometry, the clamp enables practically leak-proof and secure clamping. It is fitted quickly and easily, and it is also re-usable.
