Social responsibility

NORRES Schlauchtechnik has a long history of responsible behaviour towards the society we live in. We frequently participate in activities that benefit charitable organisations. We are extremely keen to support projects that help the socially disadvantaged, especially when they involve children. We also make an active contribution towards environmental protection.

NORRES Schlauchtechnik makes regular donations to “Noah's Ark”, a charity that describes itself as “a children’s hospice in the region and for the region”. The Ark’s concept, which is the only one of its kind anywhere in Germany, defines two main functions: to offer a haven for incurably ill children and to act as a short-term care centre for youngsters with severe disabilities. The aim is to assist the families concerned by providing professional care and respite for children and teenagers in the Noah's Ark centre. NORRES traditionally makes a donation to this deserving cause at Christmas.

At NORRES, all people are equal. All our staff benefit from the same opportunities. Their ethnic origin, religion, social background, age, sex or disabilities are considered to be irrelevant. NORRES maintains close links with a centre for handicapped people. Disabled staff carry out their work directly on the NORRES site and are therefore fully integrated in the life of the company.

The sustainable use of natural resources is firmly entrenched in NORRRES Schlauchtechnik's daily work processes. The move to our new “Am Stadthafen” facility coincided with extensive investments in eco-friendly production and HVAC technologies. Efficient insulation, double glazing, centrally controlled air conditioning with water chillers and production utilising heat recovery mean optimal protection for the environment. Since taking possession of the new and completely refurbished plant at the port of Gelsenkirchen in 2009, NORRES has succeeded in reducing the consumption of water, electricity and heating fuel dramatically – despite an almost fourfold increase in floor space.

Efficient hose solutions for use on industrial vacuum cleaners

Suction hoses used on industrial vacuum cleaners are subjected to continuous high loads. Industrial vacuum cleaners in contact with severe contamination must withstand extreme stress levels and their suction power is designed for abrasive and coarse materials: pebble stones, rubble, metal swarf, leaves and liquids all have to be removed efficiently.

NORRES industrial hoses provide efficient solutions

There is considerable demand for industry-specific hose solutions. NORRES suction hoses made from polyurethane, EVA or PVC are ideal for use on industrial vacuum cleaners, where they have to withstand heavy loads, for example when exhausting hot or coarse abrasive dirt, coal dust or liquids or possibly combinations of these. The hose manufacturer has a range of quality products for this purpose, with important benefits for owners such as a long service life and significantly extended replacement intervals in heavy-duty applications.

For the throughput of abrasive bulk material the AIRDUC® PUR 355 AS WEAR STRIP (HD) has proven itself continuously. The special feature: The hose type has a external abrasion protection via external helix - thus it serves important product properties at the same time: It protects floors and surfaces, prolongs service life, it is easy to use and is user-friendly. In addition, it is certified according to TRGS 727 & ATEX 2014/34/EU (1999/92/EC), is highly abrasion-resistant and can be used in a temperature range of -40°F to 195°F - briefly up to 255°F.

Industrial vacuum cleaners are also optimally equipped with AIRDUC® PUR 355 AS TWIN COLOR (HD): The wall of the hose is permanently antistatic according to ISO 8031 and its volume and surface resistance is <10⁹ (according to TRGS 727 <2.5*10⁸ Ω*m and NFPA 652 10⁸-10⁹ Ω)*. The hose is certified to TRGS 727 and ATEX 2014/34/EU (1999/92/EC). The TWIN COLOR hose series offers the user the option to colour the hose in two specific colours. The hose can thus be customised in colour according to customer requirements. Every colour combination can be realised.

Both hose types - AIRDUC® PUR 355 AS WEAR STRIP (HD) and AIRDUC® PUR 355 AS TWIN COLOR (HD) are available in the standard version AS transparent for use on industrial vacuum cleaners.

The AIRDUC® PUR 351 EC (MD) convinces in explosion hazard areas by its easy handling and long service life as well as electrically conductive walls with contact resistance and surface resistance <10³ Ω.

Highly flexible - thanks to the special SuperFlex construction - and in a lightweight version, the SuperFlex PVC 372 also allows easy handling.

The AIRDUC® PUR 355 EC (HD) in heavy-duty has proven itself time and again in use. The extraction hose is electrically conductive, highly abrasion-resistant and optimally suited for the extraction of high throughput and abrasive materials. The CONNECT 240 EC is the ideal supplement. The soft sleeve to slide onto connectors or push into pipes can be installed easily and quickly. CONNECT 240 EC is reusable in the threaded version. In addition: CONNECT 240 EC is electrically conductive with a contact resistance and surface resistance <10³ Ω.

With the CLAMP 212 EC bridge clamp, grounding is possible without exposing spiral and without damaging hose, it is easy and quick to install and as a special benefit, CLAMP 212 EC is reusable.

Hoses with a wall made of EVA have proven themselves in use under extreme conditions. The hose models EVA 373 AS and EVA 373 EC are therefore the typical hoses for industrial vacuum cleaners: crush resistant, floatable and highly flexible. The antistatic or electrically conductive version is ideally suited for the extraction of coal dust or similar explosive materials.
