Social responsibility

NORRES Schlauchtechnik has a long history of responsible behaviour towards the society we live in. We frequently participate in activities that benefit charitable organisations. We are extremely keen to support projects that help the socially disadvantaged, especially when they involve children. We also make an active contribution towards environmental protection.

NORRES Schlauchtechnik makes regular donations to “Noah's Ark”, a charity that describes itself as “a children’s hospice in the region and for the region”. The Ark’s concept, which is the only one of its kind anywhere in Germany, defines two main functions: to offer a haven for incurably ill children and to act as a short-term care centre for youngsters with severe disabilities. The aim is to assist the families concerned by providing professional care and respite for children and teenagers in the Noah's Ark centre. NORRES traditionally makes a donation to this deserving cause at Christmas.

At NORRES, all people are equal. All our staff benefit from the same opportunities. Their ethnic origin, religion, social background, age, sex or disabilities are considered to be irrelevant. NORRES maintains close links with a centre for handicapped people. Disabled staff carry out their work directly on the NORRES site and are therefore fully integrated in the life of the company.

The sustainable use of natural resources is firmly entrenched in NORRRES Schlauchtechnik's daily work processes. The move to our new “Am Stadthafen” facility coincided with extensive investments in eco-friendly production and HVAC technologies. Efficient insulation, double glazing, centrally controlled air conditioning with water chillers and production utilising heat recovery mean optimal protection for the environment. Since taking possession of the new and completely refurbished plant at the port of Gelsenkirchen in 2009, NORRES has succeeded in reducing the consumption of water, electricity and heating fuel dramatically – despite an almost fourfold increase in floor space.

Efficient hose solutions for use on industrial vacuum cleaners

Suction hoses used on industrial vacuum cleaners are subjected to continuous high loads. Industrial vacuum cleaners in contact with severe contamination must withstand extreme stress levels and their suction power is designed for abrasive and coarse materials: pebble stones, rubble, metal swarf, leaves and liquids all have to be removed efficiently.

NORRES industrial hoses provide efficient solutions

There is considerable demand for industry-specific hose solutions. NORRES suction hoses made from polyurethane, EVA or PVC are ideal for use on industrial vacuum cleaners, where they have to withstand heavy loads, for example when exhausting hot or coarse abrasive dirt, coal dust or liquids or possibly combinations of these. The hose manufacturer has a range of quality products for this purpose, with important benefits for owners such as a long service life and significantly extended replacement intervals in heavy-duty applications.

The AIRDUC® PUR 350 AS has repeatedly proven itself as ducting for abrasive bulk material: highly resistant to abrasion, microbe resistant and flame retardant according to UL94-V2 and DIN 4102-B1. Flexibility and resistance to abrasion are essential properties which any hose used in industry must have. The AIRDUC® PUR 351 EC impresses with easy handling and a long service life as well as an electrically conductive wall with an electrical and surface resistance of <10³ Ω. Thanks to the special SuperFlex design, the SuperFlex PVC 372 is a highly flexible, lightweight hose which likewise guarantees easy handling.

The heavy-duty AIRDUC® PUR 355 EC has been tried and tested time and time again in practical duty. This suction hose is highly resistant to abrasion and the optimal solution whenever a high throughput or abrasive substances need to be exhausted. CONNECT 240 EC is the perfect complement. The soft sleeve for sliding onto connectors or pushing into pipes can be fitted quickly and easily. The threaded CONNECT 240 EC version is re-usable. What’s more, CONNECT 240 EC is electrically conductive with an electrical and surface resistance of <10³ Ω. The CLAMP 212 EC bridge clamp enables grounding without exposing the spiral or damaging the hose. It can be fitted quickly and easily and as a special benefit the CLAMP 212 EC is also re-usable.

Hoses with an EVA wall are proven in use under extreme conditions. The EVA 373 AS and EVA 373 EC models are consequently typical hoses for industrial vacuum cleaners: highly flexible as well as crush-resistant when driven over or stepped on. Whether antistatic or electrically conductive, these hoses are ideally suited for exhausting coal dust or similarly explosive materials.

The AIRDUC® PUR 355 AS is tailor made for industrial vacuum cleaners in explosion hazard areas: the antistatic hose is flame retardant according to UL94-V2 and DIN 4102-B1, with a permanently antistatic wall as well as TRGS 727 and ATEX 2014/34/EU certification.
