Social responsibility
NORRES Schlauchtechnik has a long history of responsible behaviour towards the society we live in. We frequently participate in activities that benefit charitable organisations. We are extremely keen to support projects that help the socially disadvantaged, especially when they involve children. We also make an active contribution towards environmental protection.
NORRES Schlauchtechnik makes regular donations to “Noah's Ark”, a charity that describes itself as “a children’s hospice in the region and for the region”. The Ark’s concept, which is the only one of its kind anywhere in Germany, defines two main functions: to offer a haven for incurably ill children and to act as a short-term care centre for youngsters with severe disabilities. The aim is to assist the families concerned by providing professional care and respite for children and teenagers in the Noah's Ark centre. NORRES traditionally makes a donation to this deserving cause at Christmas.
At NORRES, all people are equal. All our staff benefit from the same opportunities. Their ethnic origin, religion, social background, age, sex or disabilities are considered to be irrelevant. NORRES maintains close links with a centre for handicapped people. Disabled staff carry out their work directly on the NORRES site and are therefore fully integrated in the life of the company.
The sustainable use of natural resources is firmly entrenched in NORRRES Schlauchtechnik's daily work processes. The move to our new “Am Stadthafen” facility coincided with extensive investments in eco-friendly production and HVAC technologies. Efficient insulation, double glazing, centrally controlled air conditioning with water chillers and production utilising heat recovery mean optimal protection for the environment. Since taking possession of the new and completely refurbished plant at the port of Gelsenkirchen in 2009, NORRES has succeeded in reducing the consumption of water, electricity and heating fuel dramatically – despite an almost fourfold increase in floor space.

Certified hose solutions for the food / pharmaceutical industry
Technical hose systems used in the food and pharmaceutical industries are subject to strict requirements and regulations. In addition, the areas of application for these hoses are very diverse. As a manufacturer of innovative hose solutions, NORRES offers a product portfolio with convincing solutions.
Durable - abrasion-resistant - certified!
Approvals for the use of industrial parts are the order of the day in the food industry. As a manufacturer, NORRES combines the demands of the certifications and the best hose properties in its products.
The latest product innovation for the food/pharmaceutical industry is the NORFLEX® PO 442 FOOD. The polyolefin hose is food safe and convinces with its fabric-reinforced wall, which is smooth inside and outside. In addition, its wall is food safe according to EU regulation 10/2011 as well as EG 1935/2004 and the latest EU regulation 2015/174. Highly flexible, highly abrasion-resistant, can be driven over and walked over and with a very good cold flexibility it can withstand a temperature range of -40°F to 140°F.
PROTAPE® PUR-C 335 FOOD-AS FLAT is the optimum hose for use on screening machines and compensators: The highly flexible hose material in combination with a good strength in relation to tensile and compressive loads is also convincing due to its high abrasion resistance to abrasive media. The hose is resistant to vibration and the manufacturing process is carried out in accordance with GMP EC 2023/2006. The wall is food-safe according to EU regulation 10/2011 as well as EC 1935/2004 and the latest EU regulation 2015/174, FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, but also permanently antistatic according to according to ISO 8031 electrical and surface resistance <10⁹ Ω (according to NFPA 652 10⁸-10⁹ Ω) and certified according to TRGS 727 and ATEX 2014/34/EU (1999/92/EC).
The CP PUR 455 FOOD is a super-light, abrasion-resistant and highly flexible (5:1) clamp profile hose with abrasion protection via external clamp profile. It convinces with its secure clamping of the wall within the clamp profile. The hose is also food-safe in accordance with EU regulation 10/2011 as well as EC 1935/2004 and the latest EU regulation 2015/174, FDA 21 CFR 177.2600. In addition, the CP PUR 455 FOOD can be used in a temperature range from -40°F to 194°F, short time up to 257°F.
The complete industry portfolio for the food/pharmaceutical industry includes products with the FOOD label - these are, of course, approved for use with foodstuffs, tasteless and odourless.
