Technical hose systems used in the food industry are subject to very strict hygiene regulations and therefore is bound to extensive obligations. In this regard NORRES presents a world innovation: The company is the first and only manufacturer of AIRDUC^® and PROTAPE^® hoses, which are at the same time certified according European food regulatory directives 10/2011 and 2015/174 as well as the newest explosion protection directive TRGS 727 and also offer FDA conformity.

New food approval for innovative hose solutions

The latest food regulatory EU directives 10/2011 and 2015/174 refer to materials and objects, which are intended for contact with foodstuff. But this is not the only innovation in the NORRES product range. “We offer certified hose systems for the pneumatic transport of flammable dust and bulk materials in the zones 0 and 20, which comply with the latest EU food regulatory directives and also feature FDA conformity.” said NORRES Managing Director Burkhard Mollen. NORRES has the world's first approval by the independent laboratory of DEKRA EXAM certified AIRDUC^®, PROTAPE^® and NORPLAST^® suction and transport hoses according to the new TRGS 727. The TRGS 727 is currently coming into force to quantify and evaluate the risks of ignition caused as a result of electrostatic charges in hazardous areas. The directive’s field of applications also includes the selection and implementation of safety precautions. The new TRGS 727 replaces the former Technical Rules for Operating Safety (TRBS) 2153. AIRDUC^® and PROTAPE^® series hoses are certified and are at the same time certified according to the  European food regulatory directives 10/2011 and 2015/174 as well as the newest TRGS 727 guideline and also offer FDA conformity.
For customers there are now certificates available from the independent certification institute DEKRA EXAM, for which hoses can be suitable for specific medias to be used in a hazardous areas.
