Social responsibility

NORRES Schlauchtechnik has a long history of responsible behaviour towards the society we live in. We frequently participate in activities that benefit charitable organisations. We are extremely keen to support projects that help the socially disadvantaged, especially when they involve children. We also make an active contribution towards environmental protection.

NORRES Schlauchtechnik makes regular donations to “Noah's Ark”, a charity that describes itself as “a children’s hospice in the region and for the region”. The Ark’s concept, which is the only one of its kind anywhere in Germany, defines two main functions: to offer a haven for incurably ill children and to act as a short-term care centre for youngsters with severe disabilities. The aim is to assist the families concerned by providing professional care and respite for children and teenagers in the Noah's Ark centre. NORRES traditionally makes a donation to this deserving cause at Christmas.

At NORRES, all people are equal. All our staff benefit from the same opportunities. Their ethnic origin, religion, social background, age, sex or disabilities are considered to be irrelevant. NORRES maintains close links with a centre for handicapped people. Disabled staff carry out their work directly on the NORRES site and are therefore fully integrated in the life of the company.

The sustainable use of natural resources is firmly entrenched in NORRRES Schlauchtechnik's daily work processes. The move to our new “Am Stadthafen” facility coincided with extensive investments in eco-friendly production and HVAC technologies. Efficient insulation, double glazing, centrally controlled air conditioning with water chillers and production utilising heat recovery mean optimal protection for the environment. Since taking possession of the new and completely refurbished plant at the port of Gelsenkirchen in 2009, NORRES has succeeded in reducing the consumption of water, electricity and heating fuel dramatically – despite an almost fourfold increase in floor space.

Permanent antistatic hose solutions for the transportation and suction of bulk materials

NORRES Schlauchtechnik exhibits at the easyFairs® Schüttgut 21-22 May 2014

The easyFairs® SCHÜTTGUT will be taking place in Dortmund, Germany, on 21 and 22 May 2014.  NORRES Schlauchtechnik will also be exhibiting at Stand T:03 in Hall 6 in its anniversary year. The globally operating medium-sized business shall be presenting its widely expanded range of permanently antistatic hoses at the trade fair for bulk goods technology. These hoses provide a permanently constant conductivity without any migrating antistatic agents. A property which strengthens the reliability of these hoses in the everyday use of bulk goods and at the same time substantially extends the areas of use.

The hose manufacturer from Gelsenkirchen that is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year shall be presenting the trade professionals with the major part of its product range. The trade fair provides an interesting platform that can be used in order to obtain information on the individual NORRES products that can be of interest to the bulk goods branch and that direct and in detail:

Extremely abrasion-proof and permanently antistatic

The abrasion-proof AIRDUC® PUR 355 INLINER-AS Plus that is being presented with a permanently antistatic wall is ideally suitable for use in areas where there are high flow rates of abrasive solids such as sand, gravel, grain, refuse glass and chips. The AIRDUC® PUR 356 INLINER-AS Plus is also permanently antistatic in addition to it being super heavy and reinforced. Hereby, customers from the heavy industry segment appreciate the reliable and sound qualities of this hose as do customers from the cement or docks industries.

The INLINER-AS versions are supplemented by the AIRDUC® PUR 355 INLINER-AS and the AIRDUC® PUR 356 INLINER-AS that are also reinforced and permanently antistatic. All of the INLINER versions of the AIRDUC range are extremely abrasion-resistant due to a special inline reinforcement and a seamless smooth interior.

Versatile and extremely reliable

Not only are the AIRDUC® PUR 350 MHF AS, 355 AS and the 356 AS especially convincing when  one considers the flow rates and the long service lives and the diverse possibilities of use when transporting not only powder and dust, but also fibres and chips, this also being the case with regard to the PROTAPE® PUR 301 AS. This is the result of a flow-optimized wall of permanently antistatic premium polyurethane with an abrasion resistance that 2.5-5 higher than that of most rubber materials. The consequences especially when in everyday use involving high flow rates of the abrasive solids that are frequently transported using these hoses are a prolonged serviceable life and therefore reduced costs in application. The antistatic lining that these hoses have ex warehouse at no additional cost provide the above hoses with an electrical and surface resistance of < 109Ω.

Permanently antistatic full plastic hoses

The NORPLAST® PUR-CU 385 AS light suction and transport hose made of full plastic is supplied ex warehouse in a permanently antistatic form. It is equipped with a grounding wire and is conductive in accordance with TRBS 2153. The abrasive-proof NORPLAST® PUR-CU 385 AS is permanently antistatic and is especially suitable for use in de-dusting and suction plants, industrial vacuum cleaners and for the suction of paper and textile fibres. A further addition to the permanently antistatic hoses is the flexible and light NORPLAST® PUR 385 AS. This new full plastic hose is put to use where dust, powder or fibres are transported. NORRES will again be presenting the trade fair visitors that require heavy plastic hoses with added value in the form of the NORPLAST® PUR-CU 386 AS.  This hose is also now available with a non-migrating antistatic agent as standard so that it is permanently antistatic. It is also equipped with a grounding wire and is conductive in accordance with TRBS 2153. The NORPLAST® PUR-CU 386 AS is especially suitable for transportations with high flow rates of abrasive solids such as for industrial vacuum cleaners, pellet conveying systems, blowers and compressors. The permanent antistatic version also enlarges the scope of use here and thereby enhances the efficiency of this new product.

Process reliability and occupational safety

Electrostatic charging can already occur when small quantities of solids are transported through chargeable tubes and hoses as a result of friction being caused on the wall and within the medium itself. This can result in malfunctions in the transport process, etc., this especially having an effect on the electric measuring and control devices. Incorrect hazardous conduct resulting from a startle response when a discharge takes place via the human body can place occupational safety at risk. The best protective measure against this risk is and remains the prevention of an antistatic charge by choosing the correct hose: NORRES offers its customers this additional comfort and safety with the permanently antistatic versions.

125 years of NORRES – 125 innovations

By presenting the permanently antistatic hoses, NORRES is acting in keeping with its anniversary slogan: 125 Years of NORRES and 125 innovations. Numerous innovative products and services are planned in the anniversary year in which the manufacturer of technical hoses and hose systems, in addition to cable protection systems and environmental solutions, is celebrating its 125th anniversary. The owner-managed  medium-sized company shall be presenting the majority of its product and service innovations at the easyFairs® SCHÜTTGUT in Dortmund.

We are looking forward to welcoming you at the easyFairs®SCHÜTTGUT, where we can present you the NORRES products that are tailored to the needs of the bulk goods industry. Come and meet us at our stand T:03 in Hall 6!
