Social responsibility
NORRES Schlauchtechnik has a long history of responsible behaviour towards the society we live in. We frequently participate in activities that benefit charitable organisations. We are extremely keen to support projects that help the socially disadvantaged, especially when they involve children. We also make an active contribution towards environmental protection.
NORRES Schlauchtechnik makes regular donations to “Noah's Ark”, a charity that describes itself as “a children’s hospice in the region and for the region”. The Ark’s concept, which is the only one of its kind anywhere in Germany, defines two main functions: to offer a haven for incurably ill children and to act as a short-term care centre for youngsters with severe disabilities. The aim is to assist the families concerned by providing professional care and respite for children and teenagers in the Noah's Ark centre. NORRES traditionally makes a donation to this deserving cause at Christmas.
At NORRES, all people are equal. All our staff benefit from the same opportunities. Their ethnic origin, religion, social background, age, sex or disabilities are considered to be irrelevant. NORRES maintains close links with a centre for handicapped people. Disabled staff carry out their work directly on the NORRES site and are therefore fully integrated in the life of the company.
The sustainable use of natural resources is firmly entrenched in NORRRES Schlauchtechnik's daily work processes. The move to our new “Am Stadthafen” facility coincided with extensive investments in eco-friendly production and HVAC technologies. Efficient insulation, double glazing, centrally controlled air conditioning with water chillers and production utilising heat recovery mean optimal protection for the environment. Since taking possession of the new and completely refurbished plant at the port of Gelsenkirchen in 2009, NORRES has succeeded in reducing the consumption of water, electricity and heating fuel dramatically – despite an almost fourfold increase in floor space.

Innovative coupling system for the pharmaceutical and food industries
New food-safe approval and patented technology
Hose connection systems are subjected to high demands, especially in the pharmaceutical and food industries. Now customers from the pharmaceutical and food industries can combine the thoroughly tested and approved hoses used for their applications, such as the AIRDUC® PUR 355 MHF and 356 MHF from the Pre-PUR® –MHF hose family, with the patented hose coupling system CONNECT 232. A decisive advantage for the industry: Even the polyurethane material used in the seal is food-safe in compliance with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and 178.20) and the corresponding European directives (Directive 10/2011).
Food-safe: The patented CONNECT press fitting coupling system 232
The CONNECT press fitting coupling system 232 was designed by the research and development department at NORRES with applications in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries in mind. The manufacturer-patented system comprises a stainless steel pressing sleeve and a sealing insert made of special premium-grade polyurethane. Crucial for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries: The connection is leak-proof, easy to clean, and contains no dead spaces. The hose manufacturer also offers the compatible hose types AIRDUC® PUR 355 MHF and 356 MHF, with and without stainless steel coil. The food hoses from the Pre-PUR®-MHF product line have been certified by an independent testing laboratory and been found to conform across the board with the latest EU Regulation No. 10/2011. This means that the hoses can be used for significantly more applications in the food industry. In other words: besides just transporting dry foodstuffs, now liquid and acidic substances can also be transported, including foods containing alcohol and fat. In combination with the patented CONNECT press fitting coupling system 232, which is available in two different stainless steel qualities (1.4301 und 1.4404), the pressed fittings are suitable for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Efficient and safe: The combination patented hose coupling system
The stamped batch number, article number and manufacturer's name help users keep track of the recommended maintenance intervals and avoid confusion or delays when ordering spare parts. That means not only easy maintenance and fast replacement, but also increased efficiency and cost savings in the long run. The PrePur® material used in the polyurethane hoses, such as the AIRDUC® PUR 355 MHF and the 356 MHF, offers an abrasion resistance that is five times superior to rubber. The matching, patented coupling system is available in diameters ranging from 25 to 100 mm. The connections are compatible with the profile hoses AIRDUC® 355 and 356, among others.
In addition, the most common coupling and connection solutions, such as dairy, aseptic, tri-clamp threaded connectors, can be joined easily and securely.
