Social responsibility

NORRES Schlauchtechnik has a long history of responsible behaviour towards the society we live in. We frequently participate in activities that benefit charitable organisations. We are extremely keen to support projects that help the socially disadvantaged, especially when they involve children. We also make an active contribution towards environmental protection.

NORRES Schlauchtechnik makes regular donations to “Noah's Ark”, a charity that describes itself as “a children’s hospice in the region and for the region”. The Ark’s concept, which is the only one of its kind anywhere in Germany, defines two main functions: to offer a haven for incurably ill children and to act as a short-term care centre for youngsters with severe disabilities. The aim is to assist the families concerned by providing professional care and respite for children and teenagers in the Noah's Ark centre. NORRES traditionally makes a donation to this deserving cause at Christmas.

At NORRES, all people are equal. All our staff benefit from the same opportunities. Their ethnic origin, religion, social background, age, sex or disabilities are considered to be irrelevant. NORRES maintains close links with a centre for handicapped people. Disabled staff carry out their work directly on the NORRES site and are therefore fully integrated in the life of the company.

The sustainable use of natural resources is firmly entrenched in NORRRES Schlauchtechnik's daily work processes. The move to our new “Am Stadthafen” facility coincided with extensive investments in eco-friendly production and HVAC technologies. Efficient insulation, double glazing, centrally controlled air conditioning with water chillers and production utilising heat recovery mean optimal protection for the environment. Since taking possession of the new and completely refurbished plant at the port of Gelsenkirchen in 2009, NORRES has succeeded in reducing the consumption of water, electricity and heating fuel dramatically – despite an almost fourfold increase in floor space.

Hose solutions for a wide range of applications

NORRES presents four further product innovations:

Over 50 innovations have already been realized by NORRES Schlauchtechnik in its anniversary year 2014. The globally operating medium-sized company now presents four further product innovations which facilitate and expand the use of the hose solutions for customers in a wide range of applications. These include the tapered flange coupling system CONNECT 245 CSH which is now available as pre-assembled system with a corresponding hose and optionally with customized connectors. The PROTAPE® TPE 321 REINFORCED offers the benefits of a fabric-reinforced hose: durable, abrasion-proof and at the same time highly flexible, light and compressible. The heat-resistant NORFLEX® TPE 405 and the NORPLAST® PVC 384-AS - are now available as a permanently antistatic version and complement the latest set of innovations.

CONNECT 245 CSH – the robust tapered flange coupling system as comprehensive solution

The tapered flange coupling system CONNECT 245 CSH, compatible with connectors according to DIN 3016 part 3, is now available as pre-assembled system with a corresponding hose. The system is compatible with the AIRDUC® models 355 and 356, 355 MHF, 355 CSH REINFORCED, 356 HT as well as 356 MHF. Additionally, customers may opt for having customized connectors mounted. This very robust construction is particularly suited for use in roof gravelling and ensures easy application and rapid installation. In its pre-fitted version, the tapered flange coupling system is gas and liquid-tight. The CONNECT 245 CSH system features a smooth interior, is microbe and hydrolysis resistant and free of softeners and halogen. Good resistance to oil, gasoline and chemicals as well as good resistance to UV and ozone provide added value for customers.

PROTAPE® TPE 321 REINFORCED

As a light suction and blast hose, the PROTAPE® TPE 321 REINFORCED in the patented PROTAPE® design offers, for the first time, the benefits of a fabric reinforced hose: durable, abrasion-proof and at the same time highly flexible, light and compressible. In this version, the new PROTAPE® TPE 321 REINFORCED is ideally suited for applications from the transport of powdery solids, through to gaseous media and steam extraction. It is also particularly suitable for blowers and compressors. The innovative plastic hose can be used in operating temperatures of up to 110 °C (short-term up to 125 °C). It features small bending radii and is kink-proof. The suction and blast hose offers an excellent price-performance ratio: The hose is generally tape boxed and compressed which saves delivery costs and ensures minimum storage space.

NORFLEX® TPE 405

For all areas where liquids such as chemicals, acids and alkalis are handled, NORRES now offers the innovative NORFLEX® TPE 405. The highly-flexible plastic hose made of thermoplastic rubber TPE is extremely heat resistant. It can be used in temperatures of up to 125°C (short-term up to 150°C). It is softener and halogen-free, gas and liquid-tight and pressure-resistant. NORFLEX® TPE 405 features a smooth interior and exterior as well as small bending radii.

NORPLAST® PVC 384-AS

The heavy NORPLAST® PVC 384-AS with smooth interior is now also available as a permanently antistatic version. This new hose is particularly suited for abrasive solids such as dust, powder and granulates. The new the NORPLAST® PVC 384-AS suction and transport hose provides permanently constant conductivity and, thanks to its non-migrating antistatic agents, it is a perfect and reliable solution for even more applications. With these hose solutions, NORRES rounds off its comprehensive portfolio of permanently antistatic hoses.
