Social responsibility
NORRES Schlauchtechnik has a long history of responsible behaviour towards the society we live in. We frequently participate in activities that benefit charitable organisations. We are extremely keen to support projects that help the socially disadvantaged, especially when they involve children. We also make an active contribution towards environmental protection.
NORRES Schlauchtechnik makes regular donations to “Noah's Ark”, a charity that describes itself as “a children’s hospice in the region and for the region”. The Ark’s concept, which is the only one of its kind anywhere in Germany, defines two main functions: to offer a haven for incurably ill children and to act as a short-term care centre for youngsters with severe disabilities. The aim is to assist the families concerned by providing professional care and respite for children and teenagers in the Noah's Ark centre. NORRES traditionally makes a donation to this deserving cause at Christmas.
At NORRES, all people are equal. All our staff benefit from the same opportunities. Their ethnic origin, religion, social background, age, sex or disabilities are considered to be irrelevant. NORRES maintains close links with a centre for handicapped people. Disabled staff carry out their work directly on the NORRES site and are therefore fully integrated in the life of the company.
The sustainable use of natural resources is firmly entrenched in NORRRES Schlauchtechnik's daily work processes. The move to our new “Am Stadthafen” facility coincided with extensive investments in eco-friendly production and HVAC technologies. Efficient insulation, double glazing, centrally controlled air conditioning with water chillers and production utilising heat recovery mean optimal protection for the environment. Since taking possession of the new and completely refurbished plant at the port of Gelsenkirchen in 2009, NORRES has succeeded in reducing the consumption of water, electricity and heating fuel dramatically – despite an almost fourfold increase in floor space.

Flexible and versatile - Air conditioning and ventilation hoses
The NORRES Group stands for innovative hose solutions - new in the program is the portfolio of air conditioning and ventilation hoses! Great importance was attached to the fact that the air conditioning and ventilation hose manufactured by NORRES is light, flexible and versatile for ventilation and fresh air supply. The result is impressive: An extensive industry portfolio with high quality standards.
Quality creates customer added value
The NORRES portfolio offers a wide range of light to medium weight designs. For the air conditioning and ventilation hoses, priority has been given to the proven quality standard. The NORRES Group sets itself as a manufacturer to create added value for its customers by producing quality products. The expansion of the portfolio of air conditioning and ventilation hoses is part of this. Furthermore, an additional customer added value is created by efficient hose solutions that save costs permanently. In the design and manufacture of the air conditioning and ventilation hoses, the product properties have been specially adapted and tailored to the needs of the industry. Thanks to optimum hose solutions, long service lives are achieved, which saves time for assembly and costs for the customer in the event of machine failures.
Innovative industry solutions thanks to special product features
The portfolio of NORRES air conditioning and ventilation hoses is very extensive. The hoses from this branch assortment are flexible and can be used in many different ways. The nature of the hoses limits their field of application only minimally - the temperature range to which the respective hose can withstand is often decisive.
The PVC air conditioning hose PROTAPE® PVC 371 GREY (XLD) is fabric-reinforced and a type in super light weight design. Tested according to FMVSS 302, it is flame-retardant and can be used in a temperature range from -10°C to 80°C, for example on ventilation systems, air conditioning systems or heating systems.
The ISODUC PVC 368 GREY also belongs to the fabric reinforced hose types. Highly flexible and compressible 6:1, it is insulating and has a flame-retardant wall (class 1 (Italy)). Therefore, its main field of application is air conditioning and thermal and acoustic insulation.
The PROTAPE® ALU-PES 369 is an aluminium/polyester air conditioning hose. Its flame-retardant wall (according to: C.S.T.B. class M1 (France)) allows a temperature range of -30°C to +140°C, for example during the extraction and ventilation of bathrooms and kitchens.
The wall of the hose type ISODUC ALU-PES 368 is flame retardant according to NF P 92-512 M1. This highly flexible hose is compressible (10:1) and can be used in a temperature range from -30°C to +140°C. Its special thermal insulation layer makes this hose type particularly suitable for thermal and acoustic insulation.
The PROTAPE® ALU-PES 369 SE is a convincing choice for air conditioning in marine applications. Super-light and highly flexible, it withstands temperatures in a range from -30°C to +250°C. Accordingly, the hose type has a flame-retardant wall, certified according to: C.S.T.B. class M0 (France) and is additionally non-flammable according to the standards of BUREAU VERITAS (France).
The ISODUC ALU-PES 368 SE also has such a thermal insulation layer. It withstands a temperature range of -30°C to +250°C. Its walls are flame retardant: C.S.T.B. class M0-M1 (France).
The model METAL HOSE ALU 377 - Aluflex is a highly flexible metal hose. It is also flame-retardant (M0) and self-locking. The METAL HOSE ALU 377 offers a special feature: It can be used up to a temperature of 300 °C and is therefore ideally suited for gases, air conditioning in marine applications or on galleys, kitchen hoods, fume hoods, exhaust air ducts.
