Social responsibility
NORRES Schlauchtechnik has a long history of responsible behaviour towards the society we live in. We frequently participate in activities that benefit charitable organisations. We are extremely keen to support projects that help the socially disadvantaged, especially when they involve children. We also make an active contribution towards environmental protection.
NORRES Schlauchtechnik makes regular donations to “Noah's Ark”, a charity that describes itself as “a children’s hospice in the region and for the region”. The Ark’s concept, which is the only one of its kind anywhere in Germany, defines two main functions: to offer a haven for incurably ill children and to act as a short-term care centre for youngsters with severe disabilities. The aim is to assist the families concerned by providing professional care and respite for children and teenagers in the Noah's Ark centre. NORRES traditionally makes a donation to this deserving cause at Christmas.
At NORRES, all people are equal. All our staff benefit from the same opportunities. Their ethnic origin, religion, social background, age, sex or disabilities are considered to be irrelevant. NORRES maintains close links with a centre for handicapped people. Disabled staff carry out their work directly on the NORRES site and are therefore fully integrated in the life of the company.
The sustainable use of natural resources is firmly entrenched in NORRRES Schlauchtechnik's daily work processes. The move to our new “Am Stadthafen” facility coincided with extensive investments in eco-friendly production and HVAC technologies. Efficient insulation, double glazing, centrally controlled air conditioning with water chillers and production utilising heat recovery mean optimal protection for the environment. Since taking possession of the new and completely refurbished plant at the port of Gelsenkirchen in 2009, NORRES has succeeded in reducing the consumption of water, electricity and heating fuel dramatically – despite an almost fourfold increase in floor space.

125 Year of NORRES – 125 Innovations in 2014
In its anniversary year 2014, NORRES Schlauchtechnik convinces in the field of environmental solutions with enhanced product qualities: the globally operating small to medium sized enterprise presents you with the NORRES PRO2AIR Pre-PUR® membrane diffuser tube and the NORRES PRO2AIR Pre-PUR® membrane tube diffuser, both with the lowest pressure loss. The further developed Pre-PUR® quality enables the customers to profit from considerable energy savings. NORRES has also modified the PRO2AIR membrane tube diffuser-related product range at the same time.
Save energy with the further developed Pre-PUR® quality
NORRES Schlauchtechnik presents the NORRES PRO2AIR Pre-PUR® membrane diffuser tube with the lowest pressure loss. The use of the further developed pre-PUR® quality results in the PRO2AIR Pre-PUR® diffuser membrane making a difference with a much lower pressure loss and a considerable saving in energy consumption. It does not contain plasticizers and has an enhanced chemical, hydrolytic and thermal resistance as a result of the use of special stabilizers. The NORRES PRO2AIR Pre-PUR® membrane tube diffuser is now also available in the enhanced pre- PUR® quality. This further development means that the customer can not only benefit from the considerably enhanced energy efficiency, but also from longer useful lives and the extremely high tear resistance and continued tear resistance of the permanently elastic quality product.
Modified product range
The improved PRO2AIR Pre-PUR® membrane tube diffuser is now also available with a 1" thread. With this product range extension, NORRES is able to cover all standard connections. The customers are also able to purchase a one ear clamp in the qualities 1.4301 and 1.4571 (VA). The PRO2AIR Pre-PUR® membrane tube diffuser is also available with a nominal width of 90mm. NORRES is especially presenting the latter product range extension to its international customers.

By using the enhanced Pre-PUR® quality and the product range extensions in environmental engineering, NORRES is acting in accordance with its anniversary slogan: 125 Years of NORRES and 125 Innovations. Numerous product and service innovations are planned in the year in which the manufacturer of technical hoses and hose solutions in addition to cable protection systems and environmental solutions is celebrating its 125th anniversary.
