Social responsibility
NORRES Schlauchtechnik has a long history of responsible behaviour towards the society we live in. We frequently participate in activities that benefit charitable organisations. We are extremely keen to support projects that help the socially disadvantaged, especially when they involve children. We also make an active contribution towards environmental protection.
NORRES Schlauchtechnik makes regular donations to “Noah's Ark”, a charity that describes itself as “a children’s hospice in the region and for the region”. The Ark’s concept, which is the only one of its kind anywhere in Germany, defines two main functions: to offer a haven for incurably ill children and to act as a short-term care centre for youngsters with severe disabilities. The aim is to assist the families concerned by providing professional care and respite for children and teenagers in the Noah's Ark centre. NORRES traditionally makes a donation to this deserving cause at Christmas.
At NORRES, all people are equal. All our staff benefit from the same opportunities. Their ethnic origin, religion, social background, age, sex or disabilities are considered to be irrelevant. NORRES maintains close links with a centre for handicapped people. Disabled staff carry out their work directly on the NORRES site and are therefore fully integrated in the life of the company.
The sustainable use of natural resources is firmly entrenched in NORRRES Schlauchtechnik's daily work processes. The move to our new “Am Stadthafen” facility coincided with extensive investments in eco-friendly production and HVAC technologies. Efficient insulation, double glazing, centrally controlled air conditioning with water chillers and production utilising heat recovery mean optimal protection for the environment. Since taking possession of the new and completely refurbished plant at the port of Gelsenkirchen in 2009, NORRES has succeeded in reducing the consumption of water, electricity and heating fuel dramatically – despite an almost fourfold increase in floor space.

Certified hose solutions for the food and pharmaceutical industries
Technical hose systems used in the food and pharmaceutical industries are subject to strict requirements and regulations. In addition, the fields of application of these hoses are diverse. For the different applications with the respective technical requirements product diversity with equally diverse product features is required. Manufacturers of technical hoses and hose systems are also required to combine the best product properties and the requirements for the corresponding approvals in the sector products.
Durable and abrasion-resistant - certified hose solutions
Approvals for the use of various industrial parts have the highest priority in the food industry. The NORRES Group as a manufacturer combines the requirements of the certifications and the best hose properties in its products. This has only recently been proven: The new NORPLAST® PUR 385 FOOD food hose has been on the market since the summer - food safe and smooth on the inside. If the hose is in use, a very high flow rate is achieved, a gentle transport of the material to be conveyed, a low abrasion and thus a longer service life. The wall is certified food safe according to EU Regulation 10/2011 and EC 1935/2004 and the latest EU Regulation 2015/174 as well as FDA FCN 21 CFR 177.1680 and 177.2600. The NORPLAST® PUR 385 FOOD is very flexible and lightweight, which makes it easy to handle. In a temperature range of -20 °C to 70 °C, for a short time up to 80 °C, the NORPLAST® PUR 385 FOOD can be used without problems.
The AIRDUC® PUR-INOX 355 FOOD-AS has a firmly embedded stainless steel wire and is spirally welded. This makes the hose dimensionally stable without restricting the desired flexibility. In heavy design, the hose is highly resistant to abrasion and has increased pressure and vacuum resistance. The AIRDUC® PUR-INOX 355 FOOD-AS is approved by EU Regulation 10/2011 and EC 1935/2004 and the latest EU Regulation 2015/174 by an independent testing institute for the entire hose. The material polyurethane is food safe according to FDA 21 CFR 177.2600. In addition, the hose has the approval according to EU Regulation 10/2011 (food simulant E) and EC 1935/2004.
Tight and efficient - hoses and connectors
The optimum supplement to technical hose systems used in the food and pharmaceutical industry are hose lines and connecting parts. The spectrum ranges from the standard clamp and common fitting - right through to the high-quality aseptic screw connection for the most demanding applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
The CONNECT TRI-CLAMP FITTING 245 (based on DIN DIN 32676 and ISO 2852) and the milk pipe connector CONNECT DAIRY FITTING 247 [based on DIN 2826/11851) are used in the food industry and pharmaceutical industry in vacuum conveyors, suction conveyors, dosing systems and tablet presses. The nozzles are RoHS compliant and can be used in a temperature range of -40 °C to 90 °C. High-quality aseptic fittings such as the aseptic socket CONNECT ASEPTIC FITTING 249 (in accordance with DIN 11864-1 / DIN 11864-3) are also used in the food and pharmaceutical industry mainly in vacuum conveyors, suction conveyors, dosing systems and tablet presses.
