In this section, we would like to assist you with the selection of the appropriate hoses and accessories for the use on silo vehicles. In the following, we have compiled an initial selection of the most suitable hoses, couplings and safety clamp systems from our range for the use on silo vehicles. Depending on the product variant, our polyurethane hoses are antistatic (AS) or foodsafe (FOOD) and comply with the ATEX guideline and the German TRGS 727 respectively the corresponding EU-directives. Hoses, couplings and safety clamp systems for silo vehicles

Applications and properties:
For use on silo vehicles, NORRES not only offers hoses, but also suitable couplings and safety clamp systems.
The most suitable hose is the AIRDUC^® PUR 356 FOOD (XHD) with very high abrasion resistance and increased pressure and vacuum resistance. As an alternative, the following models are also suitable for use on silo vehicles:
BARDUC^® PVC 381 FOOD (HD), NORPLAST^® PUR ANTIABRASIVO^® AS, PVC 389 SUPERELASTICO and PVC-C 389 CORRUFLEX AS, AIRDUC^® PUR 355 AS (HD) and PUR 356 AS (XHD).
We also have suitable couplings and integration systems in our range, such as TRI clamp couplings, milk pipe couplings, aseptic couplings but also Storz couplings, tank truck couplings, Kamlok couplings and cardan couplings.
We will be happy to assemble these for you on the interior, ready made, with clamping shells, pressed or moulded on.

Can hoses be assembled on request?
Almost any desired hose length can be connected and assembled with one of the recommended fittings.

Which hoses are used for transporting pellets?
Here, the NORPLAST^® PUR 386 SCIROPPO^® PU FOOD AS is used successfully in practice.

Do I need electrically conductive hoses?
In order to avoid damage to the control electronics on the silo or on the vehicle, we recommend our AS or C-AS hoses as well as a professional earthing of the spiral.

Why should PUR hoses be resistant to hydrolysis?
With non-hydrolysis-resistant PUR hoses, contact with liquid media (including cleaning agents such as water) can cause damage to the wall material, which can lead to long-term failure of the hose.

The food suitability (FOOD) of our hoses was tested by an independent testing laboratory.
The raw materials and additives used by NORRES comply with the following official guidelines:
• EU Directive 10/2011, EC 1935/2004 and the latest EU Directive 2015/174
• FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and 178.2010

The following hose types are according to the product standard DIN EN 26057:
• Type 3: AIRDUC^® PUR 355 AS (HD)
• Type 4: AIRDUC^® PUR 356 FOOD (XHD), AIRDUC^® PUR 356 AS (XHD)

The following hose types are antistatic and certified according to TRGS 727 and ATEX 2014/34/EU:
• Permanently antistatic wall, in accordance with ISO 8031 electrical and surface resistance < 10⁹ Ohm and in accordance with TRGS 727 <2,5*10⁸ Ohm: AIRDUC^® PUR 355 AS (HD), AIRDUC^® PUR 356 AS (XHD)

The following hose types are flame-retardant according to DIN 4102-B1 and UL94-V2 und conforms to the safety regulations of the German Wood Trade Association:
• AIRDUC^® PUR 355 AS (HD)

The following coupling systems have a food grade sealing insert according to FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and 178.2010, EU Directive 10/2011 as well as EC 1935/2004 and the latest EU regulation 2015/174:
